Give your struggles to God

Every little blessing  we see if it is big or small know that it is from God. Pay attention to that and thank him for those blessings. Sometimes I have to learn to appreciate what I have and that's hard, when I get down I forget what I have I can get frustrated and upset but I  can also choose to give it to God and remember to focus back on him.  

It's not easy living with epilepsy, especially after being seizure free for a while.   It was hard giving up my independence like driving, working, and having my own place.  I try to do my best to work around it, like staying positive and focusing on good things as much as possible. Although I get frustrated at times  I will always have faith and believe in God no matter what happens.  Having God in your life and choosing to give your struggles to Him is the best thing for anybody. God will always help me no matter where I'm at in life.

What gives me hope is remembering God is in control, he promised that He will never leave me, and the Glory of things to come far outweighs what we experience here.  

 2 Cor 4:17 (NLT) For our present troubles are small and won't last long.  Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

 Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you not to harm you plans to give you a hope and a future. 

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Hebrews 12:2

Fixing your eyes on Jesus, the pioneer  and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning it's shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

How I give my struggles to God

  • Trust God that he will strengthen me through my struggles.
  • Know that God loves me
  • Know God never leaves me
  •   write in my journal 
  •  read in my bible
  •  watch my sermons 
  •  pray to God 
  •  listen to worship music
  • and doing communion

Isaiah 41:13

For I am Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you do not fear I will help you.

Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

    A HUGE AMEN to that!!! Your struggles have been challenging and I pray every day that God blessed you. I remember the part in the Chosen series where James asked Jesus why he wouldn’t heal him. Because Jesus knew he was destined for greatness with his handicap. He could offer much more strength and abilities to people. More than what James knew himself. With God on our side we can do all things. Keep up the fight Kate! Never give up! One day I feel it ,you will get to do all the things you want. There is a way. Love you and adore your writing.

My Epilepsy Story

Hope in the Midst of Struggle Hi my name is Kate Schroeder I am 25 years old and I am a christian believer. I have 2 older brothers, 2 beautiful sister in laws, 3 nieces and a nephew and of course mom & dad.  The things I love to do is travel to different places with my family.  We all Enjoy camping in the mountains, sitting by the campfire, trail riding, and swimming. I like to read christian books, and have been learning sign language.  I have had epilepsy since I was 5. At first my parents didn't know what it was. I had my first EEG done and the journey began. I was diagnosed with complex partial seizures. Over the next 5 years I would try many different medications. During this time it made school hard for me. God is a patient God

03-5-2024 God is patient with us he waits for us to come to him and leads  us in the right direction He is in control all the time.  He is a loving God and knows what we need in the right timing God loves us know matter where we are at in life and that is pretty awesome thank you God for everything you have done for all of us for being there for when we need you.
